Word files with macros: THESE divide text into segments with in AI character limits
Make sure you have the 'Developer' option in your ribbon in Microsoft Word*
Paste your text into the file
Click on Developer tab, choose Macro, run the macro called SplittheDocument.
Segments will be saved in the same folder.
The first file is for segments when the limit is 2000 characters, the second when the limit is 4000.

* How to get the 'Developer' option in your Word ribbon: File > Options > Customise ribbon > Developer
NB: You may find that Word blocks the macro functionality for security reasons. To unblock, do this:

- Open Windows File Explorer and go to the folder where you saved the file.
- Right-click the file and choose Properties from the context menu.
- At the bottom of the General tab, select the Unblock checkbox and select OK.
